We had 125 participants from 14 countries. The 18th RIEC International Workshop on Spintronics is tentatively scheduled in November, 2020. We look forward to seeing you then!

17th RIEC International Workshop on Spintronics and 10th JSPS Core-to-Core Workshop on "New-Concept Spintronic Devices" will be jointly held at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication (RIEC), Tohoku University from December 3 to 6. The RIEC Workshop has been held almost every year since 2005 and has dealt with exciting topics in the field of spintronics. The 17th workshop will mainly focus on "antiferromagnetic spintronics", "spin-orbitronics", and "unconventional computing", and world-leading researchers in these fields will give invited lectures and talks. Meanwhile, the Core-to-Core Project has been operated by the University of York, Kaiserslautern Institute of Technology, and Tohoku University since 2015 and will end at March 2020. As the final workshop during the period of the project, the 10th workshop will include several presentations that show future pathway toward "new-concept spintronic devices" based on spin-caloritronics, magneto-optics/magnonics, and antiferromagnetic spintronics. We hope your active participation.
