Our paper “Stack structure and temperature dependence of spin-orbit torques in heterostructures with antiferromagnetic PtMn” by R. Itoh, Y. Takeuchi, S. DuttaGupta, S. Fukami, and H. Ohno was published in Applied Physics Letters.
We will report a result of SOT-MRAM at IEDM2019 held in San Francisco, USA. This research has been conducted under a collaboration with the Center for Innovative Integrated Electronic Systems, Tohoku University.

We hold the 17th RIEC International Workshop on Spintronics and the 10th JSPS Core-to-Core Workshop, consisting of 28 invited talks/lectures and 35 poster presentations. We had 125 participants from 14 countries.
The 18th RIEC International Workshop on Spintronics is tentatively scheduled in November, 2020. We look forward to seeing you then!

Ohno (Adviser) received the Japanese Society of Applied Physics, Outstanding Paper Award for their paper “Analogue spin–orbit torque device for artificial-neural-network-based associative memory operation” published in Applied Physics Express in 2017.

T. Dohi (D3) has started a four-month overseas study at Argonnne National Laboratory under the Graduate Program in Spintronics (GP-Spin), Tohoku University.
Professor Hideo Ohno received ISCS Welker Award for his “seminal contributions to the materials science, physics of ferromagnetic III-V semiconductors and spintronics.”

T. Dohi (D3) is awarded the Young Scientist Presentation Award of the Japanese Society of Applied Physics for his talk entitled “Ferromagnetic layer thickness dependent domain wall chirality and sign of effective Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya field in W/(Co)FeB/MgO systems.”
